NOTHING TOO DANGEROUS, Christopher Ruz's collection of paranormal, horror and weird fiction, is a journey through dark corridors and darker hearts. Five stories, ranging from a claustrophobic apocalypse to a Lovecraftian jaunt through a girl's high-school, push the boundaries of literary horror and urban fantasy. In AN UNKNOWN HUNGER, Officer Packer has a body lying on the street with no clear signs of death and no leads. Meanwhile, Con Stannis has woken up with another man's memories bubbling inside his head. Now the police are knocking on his door... In NEVER OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW, the Fatespeaker arrives at St Werstan's School for Gifted Young Ladies to tell the girls what awaits them in life and death. But there are some questions better left unasked, and some fates better left unspoken... In WHISPERS, one young man has stumbled onto a terrible truth. This world is changing, little by little, every time you turn your back. Your house isn't your house any more. These walls don't love you. And your wife is certainly not the woman you fell asleep next to last night... Is there any way out of this madness? In OCCUPIED, young John finds a message tucked behind a public toilet. Little does he know that by answering the message, he summons Charlie, a ragged man who's been trapped in an inexplicable labyrinth of lavatories for decades upon decades. Can these two unlikely friends solve the mystery of the toilet maze, or is Charlie doomed to wander from bathroom to bathroom for the rest of his days? And in BLACK RAIN, a young couple watch from inside their apartment as a storm rolls in - a storm so thick that it seems to swallow the world outside. Now there's no mobile signal, no power and no lights outside. The taps are running black and the rain keeps drumming... Christopher Ruz's works, such as his ongoing horror serial RUST, are available through the Kindle, iBooks, Nook and Kobo stores.
