After WCKD was blown up, after all the suffering, Thomas, Minho, Brenda, and all the rest of the survivors try to manage their new life with no maze, and no trials.

The Gladers, rescued by the FBI, discover that W.C.K D. and the maze were simulations, along with many of the people they had met along the way. They had been kidnapped by the International Society of Doomsday Sinerios, and although they were freed from their own simulation, the gladers strongly intended on finding the others for themselves.
