This is a story I'm writing for my two dearest friends. A universe where we live in a quaint seaside town in the 2000s, have known each other since birth, and experience life as teenagers together. The idea of university is a looming presence that scares them because it means they won't see each other every day anymore, so they want to make their last year of school as memorable as possible, and without them even trying, it surely becomes just that. Exploring relationships, hardships, setbacks, young love and the insane experience that is being a teenager, this is both a love letter to my soul sisters and to my younger self, who had a very different experience as a teenager but who is also 100% a reflection of the character I've really loved exploring. This is such a silly project, but I'm really enjoying not having the pressure of writing something perfect, so if anybody other than the people I'm dedicating this to ends up reading it and enjoying it, that would be kind of crazy and really fun.

My resistance began to weaken, the pleasure of his lips on mine dissolving my determination. Sensing my surrender, his grip eased as I reciprocated the kiss. He leaned into me, his lips hungry and hands ready, as if expecting my defiance to resurface at any moment. Eventually, he pulled back, his hands still clasping my wrists. I lay there, my heart racing with a mix of irritation and bewilderment.
