Sitting at the back of a half-filled metro train, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji kept his gaze fixed on the blurred reflection of the window. His calculating eyes scrutinised every movement, every detail, although no emotion showed on his face. The passengers around him seemed ordinary: a businessman glancing furtively at his phone, a schoolboy with his headphones on, as well as a young boy with an insect box with his mom and other indistinct figures.
