A dor agonizante durou quatro dias, e quando acordei, percebi que eu havia perdido o que mais me importava. Minha magia. Não sabia se era temporário, e nem como seria minha vida sem magia, mas de uma coisa eu tinha certeza, eu perdi meu rumo, mas não ficaria ali, não protegeria a humana, e não seria mais uma Cullen. Voltei a usar meu sobrenome de nascença, e fui embora. Eu não era nem má, nem boa, mas eles fizeram me perder o que eu tinha de mais importante, o que eu mais amava, e isso me tornou a versão de mim que eu mais gosto.
