The Ghosts and Phantoms rivalry started on May 26th 1995, when the Ghosts splintered with the KAFLAN. This is the entry to a new age of warfare; one that is fought, where people live, thrive and die in plain sight of the civilian populace, without so much as a peep from a blue collar worker, office cubicler, or homeless man. The Desert Arm of the KAFLAN, based in Alexandria, Egypt ceased all communications on May 26th, 1995. Coincidentally, weapons surplus purchases left over from the near-constant conflicts in the Middle-East skyrocketed, and incident and attack reports began to pop up all over the globe, especially in South Africa, the Balkans, and Indian Subcontinent. As a response, a legendary man on the KAFLAN Command council based in New Haven, colloquially known as the 'Phantom', came out of retirement and started leading field operations, known as 'Phantom's Forces'. The dominant PMC of the KAFLAN immediately became divorced from their core ideals of Moneymaking, Morals and secluded locations, replacing them with The annihilation of the Desert Wing, at the cost of civilians, patriotic police officers, or countries as a whole. We follow the dutifully kept log of major conflicts between parties, across the globe from the Appenines to Shanghai, keeping record of service members who lost their life from this pointless 'shadow war'.
