BOOK TWO IN THE NOX HAVEN SERIES: When you look in the mirror what do you see? Does your reflection look exactly like you or does it mirror the person you truly are. I can hardly look in the mirror anymore, the boy I loved is dead, and the one I saved cannot be trusted. With a heavy heart I try to wear my armor proudly, now is not the time to worry. Now, as a sixteen year old girl, I must prepare myself for war. I only hope they don't have me leading the troops because every time I try to make things better they become worse. In a time of chaos I must learn who I can really trust. Who will love you? Who will die for you? And who will betray you? I never expected to find any of those things out when I attended my sophomore year at Nox Haven.

I'd Like to think I was a good person, before it all began. I didn't cheat on tests, or steal. But throughout my entire life, I was treated if I were a monster. At the age of five, after several agonizing tests, I was diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder. But not even that title could describe just how strange I was. When another kid got hurt, I would cry. Whenever someone else was told a funny joke, I would laugh hysterically. People looked at me as if I were crazy- and for while I agreed with them. That was until I, Caddie Jones, was exiled to Nox Haven Academy, a school for truly special kids. Not the mentally ill, psychotic kind of special but the magical kind. Like witches, vampires, fairies and werewolves. Call me crazy if you want, you wouldn't be the first. But the stories are all true. The supernatural did exist and I was one of them. Life there was cool until suddenly, I was faced with two-faced witches, egotistical princes, hormone driven werewolves, and an army of evil warlocks who were threatening to destroy the world. ... Maybe Nox Haven was a school for psychos after all. ---------------------------------------------------------- Highest Rank: #2 in Paranormal 1st Place winner of The Night Shift's Killer Competition 4/10/16 Illustration by: Stephanie Pitino (www.ClairObscur.fr) (1st book in series)

Atena Menroze, better known as Athena in the vampire world, feels like she already knows it all. And why wouldn't she? She is one of the first vampires that ever existed, created instead of turned, so she has lived over 100,000 years. Not only that, but when she was chosen to be one of the first vampires she was already a witch. So she's an already powerful witch with her powers magnified and everything else that comes with being a vampire. Instead of turning out like a half witch, half vampire, she has everything from both sides, but with her witch side magnified. As everyone is already aware of, she is one of the most powerful beings on the planet. Being one of the vampire elders isn't easy either. Especially when they start suspecting a werewolf pack might be planning an attack. So what happens when she disguises herself with her witch powers into a werewolf but gets a bit too attached?

Humans used to believe in vampires, witches, and every other creature that they singled as enemies. Just as they forgot about humans, creatures forgot about slayers, thinking they had just been some myth and some humans back then had managed to kill one or two creatures and called themselves slayers. And those who find out how true the legends are, happen to be at the point of death by a slayer this explaining their realization. Sierra Clara and Kayla White are two regular teenagers... to most peoples point of view anyways. To their neighbors and the normal pedestrians who have had pleasure to meet these two girls they seem to be kind, sweet, regular dears. But it so just happens they are anything but that. These two ladies aren't a hundred percent human. And their job? Slaying everything that goes thump in the night. Wouldn't it be weird if one of them happened to fall in love with the enemy?
