A stranger to her own existence, Kayla moves to a small town with the hope of finding comfort in a fresh start. But as she steps inside the unfamiliar classroom on the first day, standing in front of the class is a mysteriously familiar face, one that rouses memories of a time she believed had gone by. With past baggage catching up in the most intrusive ways, she stumbles upon unexpected comfort of friendship, unconditional love of found family, and a beautiful yet complicated bond between two hesitant souls. "This book was like a warm hug, and I might believe in love again." "I would give everything, especially my soul, to have the opportunity to read this book for the first time again." ────── CW: Substance abuse, harsh language, sexual content, mention of self-harm and suicide. ────── Started in January 2018. In the summer of 1964, Rebecca is uprooted from her quiet life in the suburbs of New Orleans and settles in with the Donnelleys in Los Angeles, California. During this internment, Rebecca finds experience. She finds friends. She finds purpose. What she did not expect to find, was love. And the last place she ever thought she would find it was in the eldest Donnelley daughter, Joanne. Now an old woman, Rebecca recounts the passionate love affair that is still just as picturesque as it was 59 years ago, during a time when this kind of love was considered something entirely opposite.

In which the popular boy attempts to use an exchange student to make his ex girlfriend jealous, but his ex ends up (fake) dating the exchange student instead. - After nearly three years of breaking and making up with her ex-boyfriend, all that Silena Valentine wants is some peace and quiet. Instead, she gets Mena Skelin- a handful of a temporary roommate, whose otherwise extensive vocabulary doesn't seem to include either of those words. Soon enough, Silena finds herself volunteering to do things she never would have even imagined: like kissing someone in front of the entire school, and catching very real feelings for her very fake girlfriend. And the latter kind of sucks, since she's pretty certain that Mena is only doing this in order to get revenge at the boy she actually likes. But then again, everything isn't always what it looks like.

"Kala's dark, smooth skin and Kelly's pale, heavily freckled face contrasted so vibrantly I wondered how they could both be so beautiful. They were like a living yin-yang. Kala sat with legs crossed and arms on her armrests, calmly waiting for the curtains to open. Kelly was talking and laughing excitedly with people all around her. Both girls radiated energy. Kelly's was all kinetic. Kala's was pure potential. Fire sat next to water." Analee didn't have an LGBTQ community to join. In her small town, she WAS the LGBTQ community. When two new girls move into town her senior year, one older, one younger, everything changes for her. It turns out falling in love is harder than she thinks. Even with a steadfast belief in true love, Analee finds navigating romance, friendships, and family something that has to be figured out one day at a time.

Natalie and Evie are very different people. They are very different in age, in income, and at different stages of their lives. Natalie is a partner in a law firm, and Evie is a law student. They meet at a work function of Natalie’s, where Evie is a waitress, and talk. Natalie is lonely, and attracted to Evie, and on impulse she offers Evie money for sex. Evie wonders whether to accept, or be offended, or quite what she should do. In the end, the simplest thing seems to be to say yes, because she quite likes Natalie as well. So. Ta-dah. Romance. Or it’s trying to be romance, like the gritty end of romance. So HEA or HFN in the end, promise, if anyone cares, but with some worky and friendsy and chick-lit stuff along the way. And smut, obviously. But maybe slower getting to it this time, so as to keep the romancey going. Anyways, that’s what this is, just to say all that so people know. And also, thank you for looking, and being interested, and I hope this one is interesting too! An ebook of Evie's Job is now on Amazon too, by the way :)

From a very young age, Samantha Poulsen knew she was different from other girls-the unrequited crush on her best friend, Andrea, was just the tip of the iceberg. But when the earth's temperature plummets, and you and your family are just looking to survive, things like finding a girlfriend or being in love become trivial fantasies. Scientists first spotted the asteroid in the year 2004. They named it 99942 Apophis after the deification of darkness. When the asteroid struck the planet, it set off a chain of events that few expected-the first Ice Age in nearly 12,500 years. Now, two years after Apophis's impact, survival is all that matters. But when Sam's family rescues a man and his daughter-a beautiful girl named Nora who reignites those banished, trivial emotions-Sam might be convinced that there's still a place for beauty in this new world.
