He decided that, due to his rapidly growing depression up till that moment, maybe they right: maybe he was indirectly responsible for his father's death. So he decided to jump from the roof of the academy. He, by a miracle, survived his suicide attempt and was hospitalized. This gave everyone a wakeup call and made them feel guilt and remorse. And once he got out of the infirmary, he changed. He went from a kind, caring young student to now a brutal, hardened, vengeful man. He decided to become a vigilante and move to Japan.
