After losing your friends, your home, your love, you knew that there was nothing or nobody to make you happy. Everything was taken from you and the only thing that you had left was an old key to a nation that was blown up years ago. You honestly thought your life couldn't change and that the tragedies of your past would always hunt you until you heard about a new country. A country that could give you anything that you wished for, a country that could give you money, a country that stood for power and peace. You were so desperately tired of life that you decided restarting it there, but seems like destiny did not want you to restart your life completely new... 24 new emails looked back at you from the screen. You could feel the headache setting in, but you opened your email anyway, looking through the new messages. Two from your statistics professor, about a new assignment, another one from the RA in the dorm building, one from the admissions office, about your application to the study abroad program, one from your American history professor- Hold the phone. You rapidly clicked on the email from the admissions office, scanning through the paragraphs. Reviewing your application to the program... taking into account your grades and your major... looking at schools in the area... pleased to say we can accept you into the program. Accepted. Part of you had forgotten that you had applied in the first place; it had been months ago back at the end of last semester, and then you had gone home for the summer and put it behind you. But being back at school had brought it to the forefront of your mind again. This was great. You had needed some good news today. Turning up the music, you danced out of your desk chair and jumped around the room a little, excited. You were going to Mexico for a semester. You could already picture it now - warm weather, good food, and firsthand experience speaking Spanish for at least six months, maybe more. Not to mention all the adventures you could have in a foreign country. This would be something you would remember for years, and just thinking about it made your day better.

Mrs T clapped her hands, eyebrows raised and a smile curving at her lips. "Exactly y/n, you start with your heading, you say dear and then the person you are talking to, and then put a comma. Then you put a space under it and say what you want to say. Then you say from, comma, and then your name. But..." Mrs T.'s eyes glinted mischievously, "do you want to know a really fancy way of saying 'From'?" All the kids shouted a yes in unison, but no one louder than y/n. "Sincerely" her teacher stated, writing on the board at the same time. The word sort of stuck with her and she didn't know why. Sincerely, sincerely, sincerely Finally, it was her classmate Caleb who voiced what everyone was wondering, "why are we learning this miss T?" "Pen Pals, my dear kids. You're going to make a new friend today!" #1 in MCYT- April 5, 2021 #1 in Sincerely #1 in Big Q #6 in dreamsmp
