It's Melissa's first time cheerleading a game for this new school. She somehow made captain despite being new and not knowing literally anyone. The other cheerleaders accepted her almost as if the last captain was just that terrible of a person. They all could be on autopilot for how close they were. But when she was watching the game she couldn't keep her eyes off the quarterback. So much thinner than the rest of the team much more delicate looking. It was strange to her but she couldn't figure out why. A few drinks and a jerk later she soon found out.

Robin is just trying to get through her senior year without upsetting her parents. On top of all that she's still dealing with the crush she's had on the head cheerleader for four years.
