After conquering the Pleiades Watchtower, Subaru rests in the green room, physically and mentally exhausted. He is devoured by a shadow, which swallows him and causes him to lose consciousness. When he awakens, he finds himself in the same place where he was summoned to another world more than a year ago, but he is not alone.
