After finding out who the true mastermind of the game was, Kokichi Oma was forced to participate in the new killing game along with 14 new students. The 16th student was none other than Shuichi Saihara, the Ultimate Despair Detective.

So, Monokuma set up a new motive! Shuichi gets his memories back and becomes this Yandere obsessed guy over Kokichi! Kokichi on the other hand didn't receive his memories but instead got turned into a girl! And on top of that Monokuma erased Kokichis memory of being a boy!
