Scarlet still hasn't forgiven Sirius for what happened at the end of 5th year. While she's off in America, she's changed. For better or worse it's still up in the air. Sirius can't remember what happened to make his best friend dump him, and swear to hate his guts for all eternity. All he wants is Scarlet back. Scarlet says she's done. She isn't.
