He was taught that the ninja were his enemies, and was trained to understand their tactics and fight back. Now, after several years of living in the shadows, Jay, code named Rogue, gets his chance to prove himself by taking the Mask of Deception from the Royal Family. He easily defeats the ninja, but something about the Master of Water sticks with him. Rogue follows the Quiet One's orders and fights ninja like he's supposed to. But thoughts of the Water Ninja swirl through his mind day and night. To Rogue, she's an enemy. To Jay, she's the fiery, opinionated girl who's dry sarcasm and care for her team has stolen his heart. Jay know's he's not supposed to fall in love with his enemy. But the question that's constantly in his mind: Is Nya Smith really the enemy? I don't own Ninjago or the characters! Morro's personality is drastically different from the show because well that's what happens when you get therapy or smth.

In an alternate ending of the Hands of Time, Kai and Nya get thrust into the future after facing the Time Twins, where they must seek the help of the future Ninja of Ninjago as well as the future versions of their teammates to get home.
