Mariah goes to confess her feelings to Tessa on Halloween night but Tessa is done with talking and thinks action is necessary to resolve the tension between them. She believes the only way for them to move on is to get what they are feeling out of their systems. Things do not go as Tessa intends and they are both left dealing with the ramifications of their night together. This will be an adult fanfiction and there will be angst. If it will be sexually explicit in any chapters, I will provide a warning. I hope the characters' genuine struggle rings through. Story Notes: I tried to include Tessa's perspective as much as possible because I feel that is something that viewers of the Young and the Restless were deprived of during the storylines. I do shift back and forth between the two character's perspectives, hopefully it makes sense. Side Notes: I have been so negatively impacted by the surrogate storyline and Teriah's lack of airtime together. It has struck a chord and not in a good way. This was an attempt at reclaiming some sort of connection with the characters and the wonderful angst and longing they used to bring to the screen. I wish the Y&R would fully utilize these two amazingly talented actresses and the characters they have brought to life. We need more Tessa Porter! Any sexual content in the story is in no way intended as any form of disrespect to the actresses playing the roles. I have so much admiration for them and appreciation for the work they do.
