---Completed--- Almost five years ago, Betty Cooper took off and fled the town of Riverdale. Rumors were spread and the townspeople whispered about why she might've left, some suspect that her dreams of living in New York were the cause. But those who knew her best, knew that wasn't the case. Now, after she is called in to investigate a recent murder within her home town, she is forced to work with none other than Riverdale's own investigative journalist-Jughead Jones. Betty is hiding huge secrets from her old friend, and the feelings she's locked inside herself are dangerously close to resurfacing. Will she be strong enough to resist Jughead's pull on her even after all these years? Or will she allow her heart to be broken once again by her high school sweetheart? --- "How many times Jug? "What is going on with you?" she practically yelled. I looked at her and shrugged. "Seriously, Juggie. You're so damn confusing. One minute you act like you hate me the next you are defending me and acting like you love me. You make no sense" she ranted. She glared at me and I chuckled. "I love it when you call me Juggie. It's hot" I said and she continued to glare at me in silence. "I didn't know what I wanted before. I do now" I said casually. "Really? And what is that?" She fumed. "You, baby." I smirked. Betty moved away years ago when her parents divorced. Her mother wanted a fresh start in New York. Everyone promised to keep in touch but, of course, they didn't. Only her cousin. Cheryl stuck by Betty. Betty survived though. She made new friends and her mother remarried making Veronica her sister and best friend. Jughead was broken when Betty left. Losing her changed him. As the years wore on, he became darker and cruel. He joined his Dad in the Serpents and truly loved the gang lifestyle. Archie felt hollow since Betty left. He distracted himself with football and girls and had earned himself quite a reputation. Betty and Veronica became best friends while they're mothers dated. They both embraced the New York party lifestyle. Betty changed from a sweet, quiet girl to a bit of a wild child but kept her heart of gold. That is, until Betty and Veronica move to Riverdale with their mothers. Jughead and Archie are shocked to see Betty again. One of them view her as a challenge, the other as prey. Betty has other ideas though. Language warning and maybe some violence and dark material.

Lots of people want to date Betty Cooper...unfortunately she doesn't know it. Her two best friends decided long ago to intimidate anyone who dared to date her. Now Betty has a few new friends that find out about the plan and create a few new plans of their own. Will Jug and Arch be jealous? Will Bughead happen? Will their friendship survive this new plan? I'm currently editing this story. I'm not changing the storyline just the grammar.

She is really shy and anxious but becomes quick friends with Archie, Veronica, toni, Kevin, and Cheryl. Jughead meets Betty and like rest of the school is head over heels for her. She is so pure and adorable that he wants her What happens when he cuffs her and tries to claim her from the rest of the school? ⚠️ spoiler kinda but it kinda tells the main plot line⚠️ And once things seem to be normal again, Jughead gets a not so friendly call threatening his girl. To most of the world, Betty Cooper is the A student, perfect girl next door. When Jughead comes back to Riverdale High, that's the only side he sees. The sweet Betty that he knew in elementary school with Archie. What he doesn't know is that Betty has lots of secrets and surprises including a dark one from her past. Betty goes to the drive in with Archie and Veronica and ends up getting more than she bargains for when she meets a bad boy from the southside of town. At first he just seems like your classic cliche bad boy with his leather jacket and combat boots and she gives him some attitude for his over confident attitude until she sees the back of his jacket with the signature snake on it that hes a southside serpent but not just any southside serpent the leader of the southside serpents, Jughead Jones. Betty didn't expect Jughead Jones to take such an interest in a girl as mundane as her and as much as she tries to avoid him he seems to be everywhere she is. When a life changing event happens she finds herself thrown right into the middle of his world she finds him much harder to avoid and to deny her attraction to the original bad boy of Riverdale. Jughead Jones is instantly attracted to the little preppy blonde girl as soon as he meets her with her attitude and fearlessness, he couldn't help but to be intrigued. When she ends up in his world after her own life changing event it becomes obvious the attraction is undeniable and resisting just is impossible. *re-editing because i entered this into the wattys 2018 so just re polishing nothing big will change so feel free to read it. *

After break-up, Jughead and Betty managed to be friends for entire year, having calls and texts, sharing things about their lifes in university. Jughead tried really hard to keep it that way until he couldn't. One drunken call and their lifes changed in many ways. They started the hating competition - how rude and mean you can be to each others, how can you hurt other one even more? They don't see each other often, only few times in past several years, but they keep leaving messages here and there, hurtful ones. They hear things from their friends and family, but no, they don't wanna see each other. Jughead knows Betty likes to go out with Veronica and she works hard, she has a cat. Betty knows Jughead has a girlfriend, again, and he writes still. Now they have to meet after years, and they have one new thing in common besides the hate and their history, a job at the same office. ⚠️ mature language and scenes Also kind of a warning - slow burn.
