When his imaginary childhood friend appears in his bedroom, seventeen-year-old Avery Slater learns that getting rid of the dead is harder than he thought. Ever since childhood, Avery has been forced to listen to the whining of the dead. Crazy dead cat ladies and angry hit-and-run victims just love to tell him about their undead problems. After moving to the dinky town of Gravenhague, he thought he'd finally be able to leave all of that ghostly nonsense behind. Sebastian was never one for following plans. Fifty years old with the temper of a raging third grader, Sebastian has a task only Avery can complete: Find his killer and set his soul free. Not an easy thing when the only clues are a broken violin, a feather, and the faint smell of lilac before death. All Avery wants is to get this mystery over with, but with a seedy cult called Blacklight working to cover up the strange happenings of Gravenhague, it's more than a headache. As he descends deeper into the mystery, he discovers this isn't your average sleuthing case. Blacklight's spies are watching, and the town's occupants are less than hospitable. With disappearances and death shadowing him, Avery has to wonder if getting rid of Sebastian is worth the hassle. If being haunted by ghosts has taught him anything, it's that he never wants to be one. *Cover by ShardOfGlass

"You know, I'm not fond of Cinderella stories." i smirked looking deeply in his eyes. Sabrina Williams is a popular girl in school. She's beautiful, hot, smart and not to mention the president of the student council but what makes her different from the other popular girls was she hates parties and dates. She's never fond of liking any guys, not until the night of the party when she met Avan Jacobs, a popular guy in a not cliche way. He's the best poet and was chosen to represent their school for such writing competitions. Sabrina wasn't able to see Avan because of the party theme. The next day, Sabrina realizes that she wants to meet the guy but the only problem is, she doesn't know anything about him except for the fact that they both go to the same school. How will Sabrina find Avan? How far can she go? How much can she do just to find him? Will Avan reveal himself? Or everything is just too late? The biggest questions are: How does it really feel to be Cinderella in a man's form? And how will Sabrina's life change when she became the prince charming -- well sort of, in this situation? So guys, this book is totally not proofread. I know there will be grammatical errors, wrong spellings and more so you don't have to point it out but for the record, you can still very much understand the whole story, I can asure you of that. Although I just want to remind you, read at your own risks. :P thank you all so much. :)

A/N: The first few chapters aren't really that good and the story may seem a bit slow at the start but it does get better if you keep reading! I got the main idea for my story from the book "Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan boys" and I also put in a few of my own experiences in too! (Only SOME things in here have happened to me, not everything!) Also! I am Australian.... sooooo if I get some facts wrong about how things go in the US i'm sorry! Thanks for all the support everyone! :) Luv u all xxStephxx

It's basic. It's cliché. All because sometimes we need a cute little story where everything turns out perfect.
