Chakras are energy centres in the body. There are seven main chakras, running up the body, one after another, in perfect sequence from the primal to the divine. Each one generates spiritual power relating to one of the basic needs of our being. When even one of these needs is not fully met, the corresponding chakra will fall out of balance or close. This may affect other nearby chakras or organs and glands of the body. This is where illness comes from. A healthy person has all chakras open. This is not to say that sickness is false, but rather that ill feelings can be healed by, first of all, healing your chakras. Doing this is very simple, you just need to set an intention and will it so. I've written this piece in the form of a monologue exploring the natural steps we take in life towards opening all of our chakras. At the end, I will talk about my personal experiences with blocked chakras and health issues and how I'm healing myself.

Three months later, Ayla Culbert discovers the absence of her older brother. SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE, MAY 2016: Three people, two men, one woman, leave England carrying nothing but one suitcase and a duffel bag with them. They leave their phones in Preston and cut up their credit cards. LONDON, 7PM: Alma Dhawan's law career stumbles upon liquid gold when she receives a call from Ayla Culbert - her brother is missing, and she thinks she knows why.

For Carter Vance, popularity is a world that she has purposely distanced herself from for many years. Why feed in to the totally superficial, social hierarchy of high school? She's perfectly happy being an outsider. But when she's challenged to prove that anyone can be popular, she puts everything on the line to make a point - that popularity is as fickle and cliché as all the teen movies make it out to be. What she does instead is ruin her true friendships, hurt the only guy who has ever mattered, and dig herself a hole that's much more complicated than the plot of all of her favourite movies combined. {Book 1 in the Teenage Guide series}
