Killua lives in a big mansion, oddly placed in the middle of the countryside. His new neighbour moves in, their kid being the same age as him as Killua soon finds out that the boy named Gon is deaf. Killua hears Gons story on how he got in that bad state, and made a promise to himself, that he could never break.

Gon was walking through the forest one day on Whale island when he saw a path of dead flowers which lead to a patch of even more dead flowers, when he made it to the patch he saw someone laying on the flowers, who is he? I don't own Hunter x Hunter or the art in this story.
