Though the desolation of the desert first provides excellent cover for the Rebels from the Empire, the frequent sandstorms soon prove a technical problem for the small base. You are an X-wing pilot in Commander Skywalker's squadron. As well as being a pilot, you are the most highly-sought-after mechanics in the Rebel force. Unfortunately, this means you are also in charge of the mechanical problems that come along with Tatooine's sandstorms. This has become a source of tension between you and Skywalker, who wishes the base to remain on Tatooine (because of the safety from the Empire), while you wish it to move to the more manageable blizzards of the ice planet Hoth.
