Anche in quel mondo così straordinario, dove i superpoteri erano ormai una cosa comune, lei rimaneva fuori dall'ordinario. La storia del suo passato non era felice, neanche un po', e l'unica sola causa di tutto quel dolore e tormento era il suo quirk, così bello e particolare, ma allo stesso tempo tremendamente pericoloso. I suoi genitori non le avevano mai voluto davvero bene, e da un fatidico e preciso avvenimento, fu il suo Sensei a prenderla con se ed accudirla come se fosse stata figlia sua. A lui, Akane doveva tutto. Quell'anno per lei sarebbe stato il primo alla Yuei, la migliore scuola di formazione di supereroi del Giappone. Lì, avrebbe imparato a scavare più a fondo ai suoi sentimenti, pensieri e paure. Avrebbe anche imparato a conoscere il suo quirk, e finalmente, a diventare un tutt'uno con essa, per quanto potesse essere difficile. Ma con sfide, arriveranno anche amicizie, rivalità...e amori.
