A "Human Code" Short Story | Christmas Edition After surviving the fight with Rory and other rogue androids, Javier only wants to live his best life, enjoy it every way he can. But he can't do that with a heavy heart. To make things right, he plans to unveil his secrets to Mary on Christmas. Because to err is human, but to forgive... divine. And he knows she will see his point of view. Please note, this will contain spoilers if you haven't finished Human Code. Will also be confusing if you haven't read Human Code at all. When back-alley mechanic Elijah Garret is approached by the company who destroyed his family, he has to decide whether to repair and upgrade their androids or let the machines rebel and start a war. While he continues to build and code the newest batch of androids to protect humanity, he scouts the crumbling streets of Chicago to recruit other androids to his campaign for peace. But Elijah doesn't only face rejection from the androids. Many humans think of Elijah-now half-man, half-machine after a fear-fatal injury-as an abomination. To make things worse, the leader of the android rebellion is getting into Elijah's head, making him doubt himself, everything he's worked for, and his family's legacy...
