Sixteen year old Lara just wants a normal life. A normal life is near impossible when you have five brothers with a huge passion for soccer and a family that revolves around soccer. She’s the girl who’d rather wear a soccer jersey instead of a dress. The girl who’d be kicking soccer balls instead of doing ballet. But, the summer Lara meets Angelo, a boy who is much more talented and better at soccer than Lara, is the summer where she tries to score a soccer scholarship into Picoult University. This scholarship means everything to her! But, it’s not only Lara who would kill for this scholarship, it is her competitor Angelo who has committed his living day to gain this golden opportunity. Lara’s whole summer turns upside down as she finds herself competing against Angelo. But for Lara, it’s not anymore about getting the scholarship, it is more about finding herself within, and what is normal?
