Sonic, a hedgehog in his late teens, is "forced" to go back to school overseas to gather information on "Caribs high school", a school that has been rumoured to take their lowest scoring pupils and turn them into mince meat. There, he meets the headmasters who run the rumoured school and learns the strange rules there such as rules that prevent outside communication, bringing other people from other schools to special events and denying access to the elevator shaft. On a cold, rainy day, Sonic discovers an abandoned infant hedgehog on the streets. With no choice but to take the baby girl in, Sonic seeks Shadow out for help. Reluctantly, Shadow agrees to foster the baby girl with Sonic after she starts calling him 'daddy'.
