This is a sequel to "Behind The Vale." Team RWWJ (Ruby, Weiss, Winter, Jaune) take their rests and recoveries after the failed attack on beacon. Meanwhile, thanks to a temporary death, Cinder has taken the Fall Maiden powers from Ruby and intends to finish her mission for Beacon's relic.

Weiss finds herself in a parallel world where everyone is in each other's roles.

Pyrrha Nikos didn't ask to die. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop anything. Pyrrha's gone, and Jaune is crushed. Team JNPR must now function without Pyrrha, the members of the team falling into depression one by one. Hoping to avenge Pyrrha, the remaining members of team JNPR and team RWBY now head to Mistral to try to prevent an attack on Haven. Both teams are upset and confused- and in this state, is it even possible to prevent the incoming darkness? (Takes place as if Volume 4 did not happen.)

Taking place around the time of Volume 4, this story is primarily a series of letters exchanged between Ruby and Weiss. Ruby feels she needs to speak to someone. Weiss may have some things to talk about as well. Over the weeks communicated, the two find solace and comfort in one another's letters, and what's more, it seems that feelings had attached themselves to those letters as well. Ruby becomes Weiss' confidant, Weiss becomes Ruby's counsel and it has become ever apparent that the two must find each other again. Author's Note: I disclaim any rights to this story.
