What people don't see is how much she is truly suffering inside. People don't know that the smile she always wears is completely fake. They don't know what's really going on at home. They don't see the bruises she has to cover up every morning. They don't see her having to step up to take care of her two younger siblings. She puts on a fake smile as soon as she walks through the school doors and slowly builds her walls up higher as each day goes on. She thinks no one will ever see past her facade...that is, until three new bad boys come strolling into town taking an automatic interest in Dakota. And one certain bad boy can read her like an open book. Will Dakota eventually let these three bad boys in? Or will she keep everything in until she finally reaches her breaking point? *WARNING* This book is cheesy and sarcastic with an extra sprinkle of cliché. If you don't like that kind of stuff then all you have to do is hit that back button! Zoe Starr blends into the background. She has no desire to be popular, to be seen, to be in any sort of drama. She's pretty unnoticed. Pretty normal. With one best friend, she survives just fine. Zack fuller on the other hand? Everyone knows him. He looks like the typical trouble maker. Leather jacket, motorcycle, a smirk constantly dancing on his lips. He doesnt care much for rules but doesnt go looking for fights. He has his 4 best friends to keep him company, keep him entertained. What happens when Zoe Starr meets bad boy, Zack Fuller and gets thrown into a world of rowdy boys, life changing events and mixed feelings? When her not so bright past comes back and tries to split them apart? Will these two broken angels get a chance to finally work everything out and be okay again? I suck at descriptions (obviously) but maybe just give it a try? If you don't like it you can just.. you know...stop reading?

The Wattys 2014 "Undiscovered Gem" Stella Henry is afraid of a lot of things. As a child, her simple, comfortable home life did not prepare her for the sort of people whom she would meet as a younger teenager. Now eighteen and a freshman at Clemson University, Stella meets Charlie, who, like her, has long been keeping others at bay. Though his disposition is kind and gentle, Charlie is a boxer, and his world only reminds Stella of elements of her past she would like to forget. When both realize that they have a safe place in one another, they start to overcome their fear of other people, and of letting them get close enough to matter. In many ways, this is a story about allowing people to matter to our lives, and about meaning something to them, in turn. At some point in your day, in your routine, in your life, you will matter to someone. That is a special kind of power, do be careful with it. "We love people not so much for the good they've done us, as for the good we've done them." Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace
