"Since I was younger, I'd been labelled weird, strange, and my personal favourite, abnormal. Everyone we knew, knew it and I was always aware of the looks I got behind my back. Some people didn't even try to hide it, but it didn't bother me anymore because being "normal" is more of a perspective if you think about it. What even is normal? The word itself has always confused me. Are there several types of normal? How do we know what's normal and what isn't? Who decides that eating cheese and jam sandwiches with a side dip of barbeque sauce isn't normal! I personally think it's very normal, and very tasty. So far, the only one who I know that thinks it's unusual is my mum. The thing is, the one thing I know that everyone agrees on is that Marny Banks is NOT normal, though I really wish I was. Life just seems to be so much easier for the other, normal people. It's been years since I was even considered normal. All my classmates noticed that I was different and that led to a whole lot of bullying, which ended up with me being home-schooled. Oh my gosh, by now you probably think I'm an alien. I've been describing things like I have an extra pair of arms, or I've grown a tail or I actually like Jaffa-cakes and/or Bounties. In my opinion, THAT's what you call abnormal. But no, I don't do or have any of them. I have a voice. Well obviously, everyone has a voice, but I have a voice in my head. Except he's so much more than a voice, his name is Irk and he's my very best friend, and he's been since I was very young. I've grown up with him by my side and I don't know what I would do without him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First book, please give feedback, vote and follow !!! (Completed) Emily is suffering from anorexia; she just won't admit it to herself or anyone else. She doesn't want nor need any help, according to herself. Carter sees her struggle. He wants to help her. Will Emily finally accept help? And will she accept the help from someone she would have never imagined? And what will happen when she discovers that there's more to Carter too? ............... This book is about suffering and not admitting it. It's about getting help from a surprising source and realizing the feelings you get in the making. It's about sorrow, love, hatred, and a lot more! The book spans from when they're 17/18 to when they're 37, and you get an insight into their lives for a long period of time. I really hope you enjoy my book! Please let me know what you think! ::::::::::::::: TRIGGER WARNING This book is about anorexia and eating disorders. If you suffer from anorexia or any other eating disorder I do NOT recommend you reading this book. Though it is about recovery, it is graphic and you are in the thoughts of an anorexic. This may cause a trigger. Please know and respect your own boundaries and limits:) (Nr. 2 in eatingdisorders, August 12)

Running from hell isnʼt easy. Especially when someoneʼs dragging you back down into it. Belligerent, brash and always in shades of black, Freya is hardly a lady. Hidden away by her father, sheʼs lived a normal life despite being born into the dark waters of New Yorkʼs underworld. Heʼs cold, cruel and calculating, with a proclivity for destruction. Feared by even Made Men, Torren is the boss of the stateʼs most leachorous crime syndicate. Freya hates his crudity and possessiveness, but she canʼt deny the way her breath hitches at his rough touch, the deep timbre of his voice, and his dark, heated gaze. Torren hates her disobedience, her recklessness, and her chaos. To him, sheʼs only something to be tamed. And after he slips a ring on her hand, snatching away her future, she makes only one vow---to become his biggest torment.

Heather lives her life with one purpose: to make her father proud. She's a straight-A student, obedient, respectful, and determined never to disappoint him. Her father has only one rule: no dating in school. But everything changes when she falls in love and gets caught. Her father's reaction is swift and brutal. The man she once admired becomes unrecognizable-controlling, angry, and even physically abusive. Confused and devastated, she can't understand why he treats her so cruelly, especially when her older sister, now in college, never saw this side of him. When her father announces he's marrying a lawyer from his firm, she hopes for change. Instead, things only spiral further. The abuse intensifies, and the emotional wounds deepen as he begins to blame her for her mother's death. In a desperate search for love, truth, and freedom, she uncovers painful secrets buried within her family-realizing her entire life has been built on lies. By the time she pieces everything together, it's too late. What she wanted was simple: happiness, love, and her father's acceptance. What she gets is betrayal, loss, and a shattering truth that will haunt her forever until the day she dies.
