From across the battlefield, his eyes meet Tony's. And Peter realises, shaking, that he cannot let Tony die. He breathes. Ash fills his lungs, suffocating him as he raises an arm, a single gauntlet forming. The world watches with bated breaths, as for a moment, Peter Parker wields the power of the gods. Then, he curls his fingers in. And snaps.

Peter takes a step forward. Breathes. Peers down to the busy streets, trying to ignore the steady pounding of his heart, drowning and drowning his mind's cries. He's tired. He's so, so tired. Just another step, and he'll... fall. He's so, so, so close to the edge, that if he just leans- "Kid?" Peter startles. He turns, eyes wide and movements stiff. "Mr Stark."

and 'oh,' peter thinks. 'i'm dying, aren't i?' he closes his eyes. he thinks death feels a lot like falling asleep.

Irondad is my LIFE. So, based on that, here is my collection of fluffy, angsty, funny, ridiculous(sometimes), stories of our favourite father/son duo. With the reassurance, Peter's able to manage a slight smile. Then the floor swallows him whole. Before either of them can blink, he's being sucked into the ground, out of Tony's desperate grasp. "Peter!" Their eyes stay locked for that split second when the darkness closes around him, all light being shut out as he suddenly plummets. - Peter gets separated from Tony and Stephen, and the villain gets ahold of him first.
