Whatever happened, it left me with major brain injuries. That part is consistent. The doctors all agreed on that much. Swelling. Trauma. Memory loss so severe it wiped my life clean like a chalkboard dragged through rain. When I woke up in the hospital, I didn't know my own face, my own voice, or why my body felt like it had been borrowed and returned damaged.
