Megan Stone always thought of Ryan Miller as an ordinary boy - sure, he skipped school a lot, but that wasn't her problem. But after one night, Megan gets kidnapped and finds out that Ryan Miller is much more than an ordinary boy. He's the son of the Devil himself. *** "Please..." Megan whispered, pulling on the ropes that tied her to the bed. "I'm going to ravish you, my darling," Ryan growled, grinning devishly from ear to ear as his eyes grew three shades darker. He placed a bruising kiss on her neck, leaving a mark. "I want everyone to know you're mine." *** Happily ever after? That doesn't exist in the Devil's world. *mature content*

"I knew you'd play." "And if I don't?" Death evaporated into thin air, re-materializing behind her. With one arm strapped over her chest to hold her in place, he pressed a cool metal against her temple. Without looking, she knew it was a gun. "You die." When faced with the hardest game of her life, will Andrea be able to conquer the challenges Death sets forth for her?

He extends his hand and I'd be lying if I said I only hesitated a bit to shake it. When I finally did, my hand was enveloped by his, except it wasn't warm and inviting, instead cold and rough. It sent a shiver down my spine. "Name's Demetri," he smirked, his almost black eyes glistened, "But you can call me Death."

I pulled the window open, craning my neck upwards to meet his gaze. "Stop haunting me." I whispered, voice trembling. He chuckled darkly, resting his elbows on his crouched knees. My voice sounded raspy, tired, hopeless. "Leave me alone." He slowly stretched out his right hand towards me, like the time he had done it at the lakehouse. "I'll help you, Charlotte." I looked down at his hand, then back at his face. His features looked dangerous, his eyes swirling with darkness. "How?" I asked. He grabbed my hand, pulling me up onto the window ledge swiftly, into his arms. Then we fell. ************** I used to think the world around me was simple. It was at the moment I was thrown into the supernatural environment that I began to see how complicated the world really was. I feared for my life. Who could I trust? Then I met him. The puppet master controls the puppet. The puppet master chooses the puppet. The puppet master chose me.

"Follow me," he said gruffly. "But I- ," I stopped when I saw the dark look he gave me. Instead I just looked down and quietly followed him. Once we reached his office I walked inside and immediately shuttered at the draft. Promptly the door slammed shut causing me to jump and it followed by the clicking of the lock. I swallowed the lump down my throat, an ounce of fear trickling through me. "What did I say about running?" He asked in a low, husky voice. "No running," whispered back, not sure if he heard. "And, do you remember what I said would happen next time I caught you running?" He asked. I nodded, my heart thumping extremely loudly in my chest. "Excellent, now bend over the desk," he ordered.

“Fuck,” I whisper, shutting my eyes and clunking my head to the door. “Where were you going, Scar?” Ace breathes, smirking like he’s been dying to do this all morning. Might as well not lie. “I was going to hot wire your car and drive back to California, grab all my cash, fly to Europe, live there for a couple weeks, and then drink myself to death.” His smirk drops. “That’s not funny.” “Never said it was.” A quiet moment drifts through as I lazily stare at him. “You’re serious?” “Yep.” Scarlett Hunter is only 19 and has already killed 65 vampires. It's drilled into her mind that vampires are bad, and they always will be. That is, until Ace Caplin decides to enter her world via her kitchen.
