Danny's always been aware he was adopted, it's kinda hard not to know when you were taken in when you were nine after a traumatizing event. He's been a little preoccupied to attempt to find his brother though. From grief to straight up dying, Danny just hasn't had the time. Well now that he's doing better he wants to find his younger brother, Dick. Basically, me taking that brothers au that exists and filling plot holes and making it unique. Trans!Danny bc I like the headcanon. It's not a prominent feature but it's there. Takes place after the series, but Phantom Planet doesn't exist. (Phantom Planet suuuuucked). Pre-series for Young Justice for the first few chapters. Danny finds out that he was adopted from his parents the fentons who he thought were his actual parents so to find out that his entire life has been a complete lie and that his real name is Daniel Al Ghoul. At the same time talia Al ghoul/damian and Danny's mom said to Damian and Bruce that they had another son his name is Daniel, to say at least Damian and Bruce were in shock.

Red Hood finds a brutally injured Danny Fenton in a back alley after patrol just after the halfa has escaped the GiW. He can't talk, and he is scared of any human around him. But Jason isn't just any human, he saved him. An aura of death has always surrounded him. He felt safe. Maybe he can trust a human again after all. Jason has no idea how to take care of this terrified and traumatized kid but he is certainly going to try. Whoever did something like this to a child is going to feel the wrath of Red Hood, right after he takes care of this kid first. And the less his brothers and Batman try and stick their noses into this the better
