The fantastic Merlin series left us with a tired old Merlin, I want to change that ending. Let's go back to when Uthar was dead and Gwenaviar was Arthur's queen. Right now Merlin is perfectly boring in everyone's eyes but the few who know him by his true name. Will slipping up on a hunting trip be the first thread that unravels his life for all to see? Merlin had managed to hide his nightmares from Arthur so far but how much longer? I saw this cover picture and was listening to 'thinking out loud' by Ed Sheeran and this just came to me so I had to write it. I finished this at 3 in the morning so please be gentle.
