Karl Jacobs is an innocent man who's grown up in the overworld, banned from going through the "portal to hell" as his parents called it. He never knew why it was so terrible, he'd only ever heard exaggerated stories from his parents. He longed to see someone or something from there, but his hope deteriorated over time. Sapnap is a demon in hiding. He was born in the underworld, known to him as the Nether. When he was eight he was saved by a wandering boy who found him interesting. He went by the name of Dream.
