Taimoor's long strides closed the distance between him and Amayah. He grasped her wrist, spinning her around to face him. Amayah's eyes widened, her heart racing as Taimoor towered over her, his anger clear.
The shawl slipped off her shoulder, falling to the floor. "Is this a joke to you?!" Taimoor's voice boomed, his grip on her arm tightening. The delicate bracelet on her wrist broke, its pieces scattering. Amayah tried to push him away, but Taimoor held firm, his face inches from hers. His blazing eyes made her shiver, and she couldn't meet his gaze.
"What...what are you-" Amayah's voice trembled, but Taimoor's roar cut her off.
"I've been searching for you everywhere! Why didn't you answer your phone?" His husky voice sent shivers down her spine. Amayah flinched, closing her eyes as tears pricked at the corners.
Taimoor pulled her closer, his grip on her waist like a vice. Their faces were inches apart, and Amayah trembled, stuttering, "W-wait... "
Taimoor's anger seemed to simmer, his voice low and menacing. "You're playing with fire, Amayah. And you're going to get burned."
