"Levon." Todd answered, voice hard. "Todd." Levon responded just as coolly. There was a pause. "Are you busy?" "I just got back from class," Todd said. "Waiting for Betto to get out of his lab so we can go for supper." "Nice." Levon wanted to punch himself. Todd just hummed in affirmation. Another pause as Levon tried to find a way to dispel the tension in the call. "Are you good?" Todd asked when Levon failed to form a sentence, and Levon realized how out of character it was for him to call Todd. There a was a layer of concern just under Todd's indifferent tone, and the protectiveness that seemed ever present in Todd when they were younger and Todd was always saving Levon from his problems. Levon's anger seemed to melt away at that familiar sense of security. "I'm good," Levon spoke finally and a soft smile spread over his lips. "Are you good?" "I'm good," Todd said gruffly. "Are we good?" Levon asked and Todd scoffed. "What we. There is no we. We're not friends." "Wouldn't want you as a friend anyway," Levon snickered. "You're kind of an asshole." Or Todd and Levon, and their acceptance that they were never meant to be friends. (Disclaimer: there will be foul language, more fluff than plot, and BoyxBoy romance. Read at your own risk!)

Felix's brother Dylan is getting married, and Felix isn't happy about it. For one thing, his brother is an abusive jerk. For another, a wedding and a new extended family means that at some point, someone is going to try to give him a hug. Felix hates to be touched--a quirk that has kept him from having a romantic relationship with anyone, and that he thinks will doom him to be forever alone--an idea that actually doesn't bother him all that much. What's bothering him is the brother of his future sister-in-law--Isaac Mason. Isaac is everything Felix is not--athletic, outgoing, and very physical. And for some reason, he just won't leave Felix alone. The other thing that's bothering him is the secret he's carrying around about this brother. Can he let his brother's fiance marry a man who might be abusive without at least warning her? And what other secrets is his brother hiding? The more Felix learns about Dylan's Perfect Wedding, the less he likes the idea. Too bad he's agreed to plan most of it. As the day of the event draws near and more secrets come to light, Felix may have to choose between love and truth. ---------------------- Warnings: This story contains strong language, explicit sexual content, and depictions of abuse (not graphic). ---------------------- This is a work of fiction. When his 'fathers,' Ari and Soren, reluctantly agree, Fenn embarks on a journey of friendship and discovery, but from the very first day, it's clear that leaving the supernatural at home will be harder than he thought. [Newly edited and rewritten!] Russell is a virtuous goth with a Christian upbringing. Sal is a carefree slack-off who would rather work retail than go to college. It was hate at first sight. Until they were forced to partner up in class. After their true feelings surface, Sal learns just how different he is from Russell, and all seems hopeless. How can their relationship last, if Sal is asexual? And that's not their only problem. Surprisingly unpredictable, The Riveting Lives of Russell and Sal is about two social outcasts that become the most unlikely couple imaginable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N: There is some foul language and adultish themes. Nothing that requires marking this as mature, but I feel it's worth noting anyway. Winner of the LGBT+ Wattys 2016 for Best Overall Gay Fiction. [Highest rank: #52.]
