But when a mermaid ends up at a boarding school with a smoking hot vampire for a roommate, will love take a bite? ***** Just before her senior year of high school, mermaid Waverly Fishwater learns she's being transferred to a cross-cultural boarding school for supernaturals. The world had gone to hell long ago, taken over by the vampire race. In order to keep some sort of peace in our land, the Vampire Lords made a consecutive agreement. The rich and powerful humans could survive just as they had been, untouched by the vampires save for the occasional blood collections, or so they thought In reality, we were all under their control. Castles spread out throughout our land, one landing in each city. Each castle varied in the number of vampires residing there, but all of them carried a Lord. The Lords were the ones in charge in every city, whether we liked it or not. The vampires often roam through the city, making sure that everyone was in order and no one stepped out of line. If you stepped out of line, you died, end of story. Even if the rich were still under their control, their lives were still better than the poor. The poorest lives held a much worse fate. The men were to be put to work as slaves, whether that meant serving a specific vampire, or just building their castles, they were slaves. The women were to be pets. Pets were the lowest rank you could have. They were forced into cages that were too small to stand in with collars around their necks. They spent their lives in pet shops, just waiting for the dreadful day that they'll be bought. They were treated like animals, trained into what their master wanted, and punished if they misbehaved. Those who were lucky enough to live through that, we're to be slaughtered for their blood at age twenty-five in an act to make sure that our population would stay steady. I was born into this world. Born into this world full of blood-sucking monsters. Except, I was one of the lucky ones. Was. It all ended for me when I was 12, when I was taken away from the last bit of hope and family that I had left. Ever since then, I've lived in a cage, just rotting away, waiting, dreading for the day that some monster would make me his. This is my life. I am a pet. ~~~ Cover by: @mshacake

"You don't get to decide that, okay...You don't get to change him, you don't get to make him a Villain because you find it amusing." "But he is mine is he not? He is mine to love and corrupt." He said with a sinister glint in his eye that I never expected to notice from him. * Lucien has never been one to complain. He takes life as he gets it and always gets the best out of it. Of course, he usually manages this with his crowd of friends and adrenaline-fueled decisions. After all, it isn't his fault that his charm seems to always draw people in. But with all that charm there is one thing Lucien can not find, his soul mate. And that is just where all his problems start. His parents can not crown him King of the quadrant if he doesn't have a soulmate and that means he can not be High King of the whole kingdom. But Lucien has a secret. One that he would gladly take to the grave. Love, drama, magic, treason... Mutiny. Diverse multiple LGBTQ+ leads and a not so quiet hero trying to juggle the life he wants and the life he has accidentally created. This story is just that cup of "too much" you have been waiting for. When the king falls onto his deathbed, the one he chooses to lead Qin into the next era of a 500 year war is not the child everyone knew but the child no one did. The six kingdoms will test the new heir, Factions will seek the bloody throne, and wolves lie in wait at every door. The only hope the new heir has is to seek the power to fight, the courage to stand, and the wisdom to tell the difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Because," Zelda answered, "Lord Dragmire, you spared and helped me when I was before you. You defied the cycle of hatred our forefathers set in motion so many years ago. I think it right to continue to seek to reverse that cycle. It is foolishness, but if I fail for my foolishness, I would rather fail while hoping and acting than while doubting." Upon hearing Zelda's reply, Ganondorf fell to his knees and put his hands on the stone floor. He tried to respond, but only vague sounds escaped him. Ganondorf wanted to say something, but the sound of him struggling to speak was suddenly interrupted by clapping. Everyone's head swiveled to the corner of the room where the Rebellious Hero was clapping. He said, "Well done. Well... done. You have done what I never would have imagined possible. You have fooled both sides and brought the demon low with words alone. Well done." "This is not justice," He argued. "You say it is just that the ones who summoned the demon shall die, but what of the demon itself? If it is evil to give birth to evil, is not which is born evil as well? Just as a midwife cries for joy as a good and innocent child is born, so must a parent cast a child to the rocks if it is monstrous and deformed. You have a talent for twisting words, Princess. Something I would expect from 'Wisdom.'"
