Her father went cold and has taken a likeness to drinking. The main instigator of the fights is always heard yelling at his wife and sometimes resorts to violence. Her mother, a woman who once smiled at the world, now fears seeing her husband and opts to hide in her room. But when she speaks to Momo can't help but resent her daughter. Momo feels trapped in this world and decides to put on a strong face at school. But just as she begins to feel better, the League of Villains decide they want to finish their hit list, but bring it down to smaller numbers. Momo finds that there's one person who may understand her, and it comes in the form of Shoto Todoroki. Momo Yaoyorozu has an amazing Quirk, but is insecure and unsure about herself. She aspired to be an amazing hero but, because of her major insecurities, thinks that dream is not possible. Both had gotten into U.A. based off of the recommendations. Both of them aim for the same thing, but have obstacles blocking their paths. They need someone to help them get past their obstacles.
