These are some of my favorite Icons in the Orthodox Church. Note, I am a Christian, and we, as Orthodox Christians, absolutely DO NOT worship icons. The primary purpose of the icon is to aid in worship, but it is by no means an idol. Icons are also known as "Windows into Heaven".

I had started this project some time ago while I was Christian, and it was during a phase when I was discerning between Roman Catholicism and Orthodoxy. Letters of Fr. Seraphim Rose 1960-1982 A large collection of previously unpublished letters of Fr Seraphim Rose. Fr Seraphim's letters are not necessarily a reflection of his personal views only, but a reflection of the spirit shared by both Fr Herman and Fr Seraphim of the Platina Monastery. In many of the letters Fr Seraphim makes it clear that he speaks not in his name only, but in the name of both himself and Fr Herman. It is because of Fr Seraphim's eloquent style and his English language abilities that naturally put him in the position of conducting most of the Monastery's correspondence.
