One fateful meeting on a lone raining day will change Yezun's life completely. Not only he meet with his long-lost brother, but also finds out a secret running through their family. There, in between white roses and blood, he finds answers to his long-buried questions. Why did his brother abandon him when they were young? Why he needs him now? Can Yezun really pay back his brother for saving his life?

Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are learning a lot about taking care of their new baby. They are also raising six tiny puppies found in a trash can. Working on cases at SID, chasing criminals and working on animal welfare keep them busy, but they always find time to smile at each other and take care of one another. They begin to worry about their baby daughter's future, and Zhao intensifies his efforts to cultivate Kunlun's abilities, including immortality.

Decades after the series ended our heroes reincarnated, following very similar paths. However, the formula for the mutation serum enabling people to develop abilities similar to those of Dixingians, had escaped the top secret laboratories and had been circulating the black market all around the world for years now. Many crimes had been linked to people with supernatural powers, thus a wave of panic and hate arose against the so-called Enhanced. As Haixing people didn't see the difference between Dixingians and the Enhanced, the Dixing had closed itself from the rest of the world once again. When a rather controverse study about increased potential towards aggression in the Enhanced became known, Asian countries united under the so-called Enhancement Pact where every citizen proven to be Enhanced is supposed to be internated. As a counterreaction, several groups fighting for the rights of the Enhanced became visible. This is a story of the Chief of SID whose belief of the crime activity of the Enhanced is quite deep-seated and Professor Shen Wei, a serious advocate for the rights of the Enhanced, who meet because of a murder of one of Professor Shen Wei's students and are forced to confront their difference in opinions. Based on the fantasy chinese drama series of 2018 Guardian. All characters are owned by the most amazing author Priest.

*COMPLETE* Following the drama ending that we so hated, I decided to write a fix/continuation of the drama. Zhao Yunlan wakes up in his old body two years after he died. While looking for answers, he discovers that he is not the only one who's back. Also, little things have changed. Which past is right, and what future lies ahead? (Zhao Yunlan/Shen Wei fic. because I couldn't stand the ending, I wrote a continuation of the story. ) [The characters will be based on the TV show, but some of the book's backstory will be seeping in and influencing events. Some BAD LANGUAGE, but lots of fluff, also hurt/comfort.] /This is my first fanfiction ever. Please, be merciful but feel free to leave comments. Also, English is not my native language.
