As NERV was being raided the Human Instrumentality project was activated, it seemed as if humanity was going to be fused into one, until Shinji Ikari in his Eva Unit 01 stopped it and became a hero to the world. The leaders of the two races found themselves on a primitive planet where they fought to the death and caused an explosion equal to the big bang later called "The second impact". A few million years later, the human race found the corpses of the two leaders and caused a cataclysmic event that sent a signal to the others of their races. With giant aliens on the way, humanity uses the technology from the alien corpses to allow a certain few to become Ultraman.
