Evelyn Nolan would rather die than marry the cruel lord her father chose. When she flees to the dreaded Spring Court seeking death at Fae hands, she finds instead a fallen High Lord haunting his broken manor - more beast than lord, more thorns than roses. Tamlin, once mighty and feared, now prowls his crumbling halls alone. But as Evelyn's music begins to fill the hollow spaces of his court, something starts to change. New roses bloom in untamed gardens. Ancient magic stirs. And in the shadowy spaces between human lands and Fae territories, darkness gathers. War is coming to the Spring Court. Yet the greatest threat may not be the armies massing at their borders, but the wild magic growing between a mortal girl with songs in her soul and a High Lord who has forgotten how to bloom without thorns. Some things, once shattered, can grow back stronger. If only they're given the chance to bloom wild and free.

[A Wattpad FEATURED story!] She's been King Thranduil's close friend for a long time. But when a shocking rumor about his past comes to light, it shakes her entire world. How well does she really know him? With the threat of war and an uncertain future for the Woodland Realm, her comfortable life is changing forever, and so are her feelings for her friend. A story about second chances with eventual romance. Set during the events of the Lord of the Rings. Thranduil/OC Disclaimer: Everything belongs to Tolkien except for my characters. A/N: It was before Christmas 2014 when I first watched BBC's Emma with Romola Garai (wonderful, by the way - watch it if you haven't). A few days later I went to see The Hobbit BOTFA on its opening night. It was during a car trip from a family Christmas party when I came up with idea for this story. And while it doesn't follow the Jane Austen classic completely (Thranduil is no Mr. Knightley!), it was certainly inspired by it. I enjoyed the challenge. Check out the FB page for the story: facebook.com/StarsofVardafanpage/ (thanks to @MaggieShivers for creating it and running it!)

After the king's son, Legolas, gives you a room to stay in, and your escape attempt ends rather differently than you had hoped, a tentative bond begins to slowly form between you and Thranduil himself. However, the past won't leave either of you be, as a tormented shadow lies upon his heart and the people from your village inch closer to the Elvenking's Halls. Things within the Woodland Realm are changing but can you truly melt the heart of the Elvenking? And should it even matter... when he is immortal and you are not?

(+18) COMPLETED ✔ {Highest Ranks & Awards: #1 in Werewolf, #3 in Alpha, #3 in Mate, #16 in Romance, 19/11/2020} ☆☆☆☆ Mirko. Just his name is enough to invoke fear. Young in age yet ancient in his fury, with burning eyes and a bloody history of ice & fangs. His beast-more prehistoric predator than a mere Alpha-rules the shadows as ruthlessly as he rules his pack, the infamous Black Devils. Whispers speak of a curse. Wolves born without mates, destined to lose themselves to the feral madness of their inner beasts. But then came her. ☆☆☆☆ Elena paused, her gaze sweeping over him. His nostrils flared, thick veins bulged along his neck and face, and his eyes were pitch black-voids of pure darkness. Elongated, inhuman ears twitched as sharp fangs pierced his lips. Any sane person would have run for their life. But to Elena, he had never looked more beautiful. ☆☆☆☆ After this book, you'll find yourself longing for that simple, powerful word-the one we all secretly yearn to hear once in a lifetime: MATE ☆☆☆☆ Some reviews from my awesome readers: annaglowka2005: "MASTERPIECE!!!! Love has the power to heal the deepest wounds. #ElvenKingsNeedLoveToo Set during Lord of the Rings. Thranduil/OC Thranduil's not afraid to do whatever necessary to push back the darkness threatening his forest. The hands of the king have the power to heal, but will it be enough to save his kingdom...and himself? This story will have romance, adventure, friendship, angst, and a lot of dwarves generally misbehaving. Written by an author who has read ALL the books and seen the movies. Story will follow book canon, not necessarily some of the things that PJ added to the movies. Beautiful cover art by the talented Kimberly80 on deviantart.
