In the year 96 AG, a freshly burned and banished 13-year-old Prince Zuko discovers a strange boy frozen in an iceberg. When Zhao interferes with Zuko's plans to deliver the Avatar to his father, Aang helps Zuko and Iroh escape. They take refuge in the abandoned Air Temples, Aang searching for any remnants of his people that he can find. Along the way, he teaches an indoctrinated Zuko about the true nature of the Air Nomads. Zuko must come to terms with the fact that everything he has been taught was a lie, while Iroh must acknowledge and face the sins of his past. Eventually, Aang and Zuko become close friends, and Zuko begins to feel things he has never felt for anyone before. However, Zhao will not give up easily, and will do whatever it takes to capture the Avatar and his traitor accomplices. This AU will explore the friendship and eventual romance that could have happened between Aang and Zuko if the circumstances of their meeting had been different. I once read a story titled "The Villainess' Side". It was about a girl, Vleaska, who died and got reincarnated inside the Otome Game she was playing. She, of course, reincarnated as the Villainess just as the title suggested. The game was called "Conqueror of Hearts" which has four males you can choose to romance. It was simple, really. You play by making choices and making the right ones grants you points, make the wrong choice and you'll lose points. A typical story that highlights the Villainess' point of view with the help of an outsider who knows the "future". The only problem was that the story was unfinished. It was dropped randomly by the Author at the climax or most crucial point of the story which left all the readers hanging. Unsatisfied, the readers complained about it, including me. If I had known that I'll be reincarnated within the story I would've never complain about it. So... I got reincarnated as a dude in an Otome game... What to do?
