Unfortunately, the unlucky 20% do not possess any Quirks or abilities at all, leading to them being seen as lesser and outcasts of society. This was the case for our protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, whose dream is to be a hero, despite having no Quirk, that can bring a smile to everyone like his idol and Number One Hero, All Might. But after years of torment by his former childhood friend and belittlement of the society he lived in, he was about to give up his dream and accept the harsh reality he desperately tried to deny. However, all of that changes when he comes across something that was thought to be lost to time. Now, the world of Heroes and Villains will undergo a massive shift in power. Izuku's life hasn't been the best life you could think of. Ever since he was diagnosed quirkless, he had been bullied every day by his former friend Katsuki Bakugo. One day, Izuku decided to have some time to himself at a park but what he didn't expect was for a portal to appear and a girl to come out it. Her name is Ryuko Matoi and she was transported during a fight with her mother. Once she meets Izuku, she would seem freaked out by what's happening around her but then starts to see the beauty of being in a world where you can be a hero. This would be the start of their journey as heroes and maybe something even more. While her purpose is to test and she still wishes to do so, GLaDOS found that many of the test subjects kept within Old Aperture were long dead or at risk of dying as soon as she took them out, and with Izuku as her last remaining subject in New Aperture, she decided to let him bring her to the outside, her last piece of humanity, discovered by the mute Chell centuries ago, wanting him to live his life, and the side which only wished for testing to see what these 'Quirks' were that had appeared.
