Miles Kane hasn't spoken to Alex Turner since the Arctic Monkey's singer Had broken his heart. It's not until he finds out Alex is about to marry the daughter of a notorious New York mobster that he lets him back into his life with hopes of protecting his friend. Things, unfortunately, don't go the way he planned.

"'Milex is real,'" he read aloud to himself. The singer bellowed with laughter, startling Miles."It kind of is real in a way, ain't it?" He gave a crooked smile, looking at Miles over his sunglasses. Miles hesitated, was he supposed to answer that? "Like, we're bezzies, aren't we? Proper good friendship going on, ain't there?" Miles attempts to set aside the subtle crushes that he has towards Alex, believing it is just a peculiar phase. However, nearly eight years later and after several relationships, Miles isn't coping well with Alex sharing an apartment with him and the feeling certainly haven't simmered down.

It's Miles birthday and Alex has a very special birthday present for him. Now if he could only find the time to give it to him!
