This is a comic book of the Tangled spinoff AU "Varian and the Seven Kingdoms." Each chapter updated on Wattpad would take around a few weeks to more than a month, so please be patient.

Shortly after having a nightmare vision about him on an island filled with dark magic, Rapunzel meets the real Varian on a prison barge and is forced to accept an ultimatum that directly affects her quest. (Cross-posted from my account on AO3)

When Varian is arrested after The Battle of Old Corona, he's given a fate he didn't expect and is brought along in chains with Princess Rapunzel on her quest to follow the rocks.

Varian has been in prison for four months. Four long and boring months. Either with good luck or terrible luck. Varian came up with a plan. Little did he know, he would be getting out of prison sooner then he thought and a new power will overtake his world. Will, he accepts Rapunzel's help and learn to control his new abilities and return to the light. Or will he turn her away and get pulled into the darkness. I'll try to update every week. What if Varian was never locked in prison. What if instead, the king thought a better punishment for him was to tag along with Rapunzel and the gang following the black rocks. When Hector goes to Old Corona to visit Quirin, what he finds is not at all what he expects. Now he and a very injured Varian are on the run from the royal guards. For all he said he would never have a family outside of the Brotherhood, his mind is made up: no one is touching his nephew. But the past doesn't die easily, and shadows of days gone by threaten to tear the small family apart. Two lives-the battle-hardened warrior and the child who had to fight for survival-are tossed into the fight again as the war between Sundrop and Moonstone grows ever stronger. Varian, Rapunzel, Cassandra and Eugene were going on a trip to the dark kingdom to see Eugene's dad but run into a strange lady on the way who kidnaps Max, Owl, Pascal and Ruddiger. The only was to get them back is go though the most painful memories a person of the lady's choosing has.
