Same as any other. A fifteen year old Hiccup runs away, well, rather he flies, from Berk. Because He couldn't kill the Monstrous Nightmare in front of the Village, and he saw no other option. But he will return to Berk unexpectedly.

I was a disappoint in everyone's eyes since the day I could crawl. Bullied, neglect, abused by everyone. They only started to change their opinions about me when I succeeded Dragon Training. I can't stand this anymore. There's nothing for me here. There has to be something more to my life than constantly being scorned, looked down upon and feeling like I'm worthless. I have to find myself a new life. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since birth, Hiccup Haddock was different from everyone else. Later on in his life, he turned into a disappointment to the people and an embarrassment to Berk. He felt like a waste of space, worthless and useless. That the world was better of without his existence. That was, until he met Toothless. Their meeting opened up Hiccup's eyes and gave him meaning. There was more to his life than this. And the killing of the Monstrous Nightmare only fuelled his decision to run away from his 'home'. So he does. But we all know that the past is a boomerang. So what will happen when he face to face with that past and other hardships the world will throw at him. Cause he sure as hell can't run away from all of them. *Being rewritten*

Hiccup Haddock the Third was an outcast from his own village, even to his father. When he met Toothless, he felt something he has lost long ago. The belonging of a family. He never thought he could leave Berk. However, when he was chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare, his own fears were overcome by something else. The feelings to protect his own. He never thought of coming back. But fate had other plans.

Banished from Berk for befriending a Night Fury, Hiccup and Toothless leaves Berk and they are never to return. They find civilisation on another village where dragons live amongst humans known as the Island of Edon. Two years later, Hiccup and Toothless grows accustomed to their new life and explores new lands they'd never come across before. When word spread about his good deeds, Hiccup is on the run when dragon hunters wants him and Toothless. A traitor is in the midst who plans to harm those who Hiccup cared about. Hiccup was five years old when he was snatched up by a Night Fury in a raid and was never seen again. 15 years later, Berk is on another hunt for the nest, but things go wrong when a storm hits and the Chief, his wife and Gobber are stranded in an icy wasteland. While searching for shelter they're ambushed by dragons and taken to a mysterious place where they find someone who they never thought they'd see again.

After getting the honour of killing a Nightmare, Hiccup leaves Berk with Toothless. It seems like he can't find peace as three years later the Hooligans find and capture him. Going back to Berk seems like a bad idea at the time, but Hiccup has to push aside all selfish reasons and help Berk.
