Bucky stays in Delacroix with the Wilsons, where he finds happiness and love, with some bumps along the way. Dealing with his past, and the PTSD it caused, he manages his way through life with Sam at his side. Eventually, he even makes the family a tiny bit bigger. His ribs burned unpleasantly, his lips thinned out in a desperate attempt as to not let out those loud, toecurling sobs he wanted to scream out. His body exploded in pain as he felt something hit his spine, knowing fully well no one was behind him but his own shadow and tears sprung to his eyes. Yet, nothing hurt more than the one thought circling in his mind like a broken record. 《They are doing it again. They are hurting my soulmate.》 Or, the soul mate AU no one asked for

Bucky was a very closed-off man from afar, but, once his walls break down, he's a whole different person. Sam finds out who that real person is.

It seems hypocritical causing more pain to himself, but Bucky finds himself deep in a self harm addiction. Whether it was a form of punishment he forced upon himself or whether it turned into the pleasure-ful high, he was in deep. Its only till Sam finds out that he realizes how far gone he is, and seeing Sam's horrified, heart broken face made him want to cry. Sam of course, moves in with Bucky to help him recover and leads to many nights of cuddling and crying over urges, movies as distractions, and occasional slip ups when Sam leaves him alone too long.
