"I hate the way I feel about you and I hate you for making me feel everything." * * * You never expect to fall for the one person you shouldn't. Well...that's actually what happens all the time. You know you shouldn't, but it happens and your heart gets caught in tight ropes. Dawson McKinnon and Olive "Liv" Roedan are best friends and have been for almost fifteen years. Dawson started his first year of college and Liv started her senior year. They're different, but somehow they're the same. They know each other without really knowing they know. Alone, they both have a secret they hold tight inside without the other knowing. The way they feel about each other. The one thing they tried to dissolve before it was too late. Together, they share one secret that they want to put behind them. One night...one mistake...one thing they can never get back. If brought up again, this secret could destroy a friendship. They made it this far and maybe, just maybe, they'll take another step together. * * * NOTE: This book is a third in the series, but it's a spin-off of the first two books. The two main characters are the kids of the characters in Charming in Handcuffs and Charming and Awkward! You may want to read those first, but you don't have to. Also, this is NOT a good girl/bad boy story.

SECRETS ARE NO FUN is the story of how The Evil Breast Cancer Disease attacked Rebecca’s life. Rebecca adored her “supermom” and was crushed to watch Mom go through surgeries and chemotherapy. One day Mom was waking her up for school and Rebecca was the center of attention, and the next day Rebecca was busy making sure that her siblings were ready for the bus. She saw Grandma cry, Dad throw up and scary scars all over Mom. And here’s the worst part: Mom lost all of her hair - she was bald! On top of that, Rebecca was starting fifth grade- a tweens worst nightmare. And Rebecca had to deal with everything that came with that: navigating the halls of junior high, dealing with her boy-obsessed friends and doing all of those mortifying things like watching the Period Movie! She also didn’t want her friends to know about Mom, but someone told the whole grade and now Rebecca’s “that girl with the sick mom.” This is a true story based on my experience with a parent battling breast cancer. Although I am not a psychologist who knows all of the clinically correct things to say, I can share my experience so other's can know that they are not alone.
