DESIRE (de·sire)
1. To wish or long for.
2. An unrelenting hunger for a person or a thing.
There are four essential elements, but only two were destined to destroy each other.
Fire and water were never meant to be.
They cannot touch without burning, cannot meet without drowning - and yet there is no space between them untouched by flames or swallowed by the sea.
Joan Vale is a girl with too many thoughts and too much longing. She burns bright, dangerous, stubborn as a flame. She is desire incarnate, beautiful but fatal to hold.
Theodore Nott is calm as night rivers, cool as still water. A Slytherin born into the weight of pureblood tradition, bound by expectations and an arranged marriage he never wanted. He never thought he could desire anyone.
Until her.
Until fire.
And looking at fire once is enough to make you addicted-longing, craving, needing to draw closer even as it destroys you.
Because fire and water are bound to ruin each other-until the last ash sinks into the sea, and the last drop turns to smoke.
This is the story of two souls whose desire became their undoing.
